I am making guided interactive tours of the Oliasoft Welldesign application where potential customers can explore a frontend version of the application by themselves without needing access to the application. Hopefully this will help potential customers familiarize themselves with the application and bring in more customers. Additionally, I am going to write documentation of models used for calculation in the application.

What aspect of your internship at Oliasoft do you find the most interesting and engaging?

As Oliasoft is a relatively new and fast growing, I feel I as an intern get meaningful assignments that are being put into use and makes a difference for the company instead of being a small cogwheel in a huge company. I experience that the leadership puts trust in the interns by giving real assignments that are relevant to the work at Oliasoft. The colleagues here at Oliasoft are very helpful when I have questions and fun to hang out with at the office.

How have you been challenged during your time as an intern at Oliasoft?

The biggest difference between this internship and university has been the independence and the expectation that you are expected to work through a lot of the challenges yourself. The senior developers and managers have been very helpful in giving advice and directions rather than instruction which forces you to be a bit more proactive. I think this is the biggest thing that has contributed to my growth.

What aspect of your internship at Oliasoft do you find the most interesting and engaging?

I really like that we have gotten a relevant project that will be used by the company after our internship ends. This makes the work feel a lot more motivating and it also adds to the desire to produce something exceptional. Oliasoft also uses a lot of coding related tools I have never encountered before which means there’s a lot of new and exciting technologies to learn.
